Our Curriculum
At Bluebells & Blossoms we have designed our curriculum intent around our
belief that every child is unique and should feel encouraged to be
confident, independent, motivated, inspired, supported and above
all happy. This curriculum has been designed with the Early Years
Foundation stage at the centre but adapted to suit and tailor to each
child dependent of their interests and skills.

The Early Years Foundation Stage
The EYFS outlines legislation and guidance that we should follow in early years
settings to support children in their development, safety, and assessment.
The seven developmental areas of the EYFS are Communication & Language,
Personal, Social & Emotional development, Physical development, Literacy,
Mathematics, Understanding the World and Expressive Arts & Design.
My Body, My Mind, My Choice
It is important to us at Bluebells & Blossoms that we support the overall well-being
of each child individually. To make this achievable we have focused on the concept
of ‘My Body, My Mind, My Choice’. Children should be encouraged to make
independent choices about how to care for their well-being.

Be Safe, Be Happy!
Risk assessing is one of the most important skills a child can learn. At Bluebells &
Blossoms we create a variety of activities to teach children about health, safety and risk assessing.
Yoga- At Bluebells & Blossoms we do 5 minutes of yoga each morning to get our juices
flowing... this gives us the best physical and mental boost to start our day the best way!
British Sign Language- We love learning new skills at Bluebells & Blossoms and we will be learning the following groups in sign language...letters, numbers, greetings,
colours, animals and survival signs.
Gardening- Gardening is a huge part of Bluebells & Blossoms. We truly believe that gardening should be a part of every school curriculum as not only is it a fantastic skill, but it has been proven to balance emotions, increase literacy skills and develop confidence in communication.
